Kikusui Funaguchi Kunkou Black is a limited-production Nama Genshu that builds on Kikusui’s distinctive Funaguchi style with an especially aromatic character. A unique ingredient derived from Kikusui’s rice lees is incorporated to create a deeper aromatic profile compared with the original Funaguchi expression. As an unpasteurized and undiluted product, it is particularly delicate, so Kikusui uses an opaque aluminum can to help shield it from light and fills the container to minimize air exposure. This careful packaging preserves the fresh character while allowing the expression to develop greater mellowness and texture over time.
